Serving the needs of people with disabilities in the Fox Cities, BEAMING, Inc. is a non-profit, therapeutic horseback riding program based in Neenah, Wisconsin
As a PATH International (Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship) member, certified instructors provide unique programs using horses to help people with traumatic injuries, developmental and cognitive conditions, and many other life-long challenges.
Equine-assisted activities are proven to improve muscle tone, balance, posture, coordination, motor development, and emotional well-being. The benefits of horses helping people are often profound.
BEAMING has several programs to serve both children and adults, including a special program for military veterans called Horses, Hearts, and Heroes - the first of its kind in Wisconsin.
At BEAMING we have experienced the difference therapeutic riding makes in the lives of our riders: We have seen the struggles of a family with an autistic child; we have watched as a person struggles to maintain a “normal” lifestyle after a stroke; we have observed veterans who have fought for our country try to cope with their experiences. But we have also have witnessed the smiles and confidence BEAMING brings not only to our riders but to their families as well. Those smiles inspire us and encourage us to move forward to expand our programs so we can continue our mission:
“Changing lives one ride at a time.”
